Want to make your own contribution and be a conscious traveller? Here are some tips!
BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE
- Reduce the weight of your luggage! For every additional 5 kg per passenger an additional 350 million litres of fuel are required per year;
- Turn off the air conditioning/heating or at least adjust the thermostat to protect plants;
- Empty external water pipes outside and turn off the tap;
- Unplug appliances: they can consume up to 40 watts per hour, even when turned off;
TRAVEL
- Use public transport such as buses and trains;
AT THE HOTEL
- Turn off the heating/AC if you open the windows
- Turn off the room lights when not needed and when you leave the room
- Try to reduce water use when you bathe/shower or brush your teeth
- Inform the staff promptly in the event of a water leak
- When change of linen in the room is not needed every day, notify the hotel by following the proper procedures indicated in the room
- Special waste (such as batteries, pharmaceuticals, ...) can be taken directly to the reception area
- For the collection of non-recyclable waste, use the baskets in the Room
- To respect the environment and future guests we kindly ask you not to smoke in the room but to use outdoor spaces
